ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with Department
manager
to review the workload, which also includes allocation of team members, discuss goals and objectives for the shift, and team member performance.
Responsible for hiring, interviewing, performance counseling, performance appraisal, and record keeping process for assigned team members.
Fully understand all facets of the department and keep the work-flow moving through the department as specified by the Department Manager.
Ensure assigned team members have all of the necessary tools to do their
jobs
.
Ensure assigned team members are working in a safe and efficient manner.
Be constantly available in work location to assist as needed and resolve issues as required.
Regularly communicate with the Department Manager on issues that arise and be able to react as required.
Conduct start-up meetings with team members to discuss day before results, the day's expectation, issues that need to be addressed, office safety issues, and work assignments for the day.
Create daily work assignments.
Ensure all required paperwork is accurate and complete and turned in the appropriate parties at required times.
Monitor and assist in the training of new employees. Perform safety and performance observations as required.

, counsel, and develop assigned team members to ensure maintenance of good order and that assigned departmental goals are met.
Use material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, order picker, reach truck, etc.) as required.
Keep work area neat, clean and hazard free.
QUALIFICATIONS
Flexible to work in various shifts, departments and locations as required
Experience supervising 15
team members within a distribution environment
College Degree preferred
1-3 years warehouse experience or training is preferred
