Summary:
The Home Care & Repair (HCR) Project Manager is responsible for managing handyman and small project profitability goals, technician's daily schedule and job functions, while delivering the highest customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Direct and develop handyman technicians to their fullest potential including training and development.
Protect HCR profitability by consistently achieving and exceeding performance and efficiency goals.
Administering small project evaluation, execution, and completion.
Coaching & Development Actively (daily) observe and evaluate technicians to ensure performance accountability.
Postmortem all jobs that do not meet revenue or ELR standards to identify root causes.
Discuss root performance issues and develop appropriate plans to resolve quickly.
Implement improvement plans designed to increase training and compliance that support exceeding expectations.
Pre-production Collaborate with the small project consultant for upcoming projects.
Review and approve estimates from small project consultant.
Order and check materials for damage and accuracy.
Stage materials until needed on the jobsite.
Ensure that all necessary project documentation is provided for homeowners and technicians.
Communicate consistently with clients and technicians.
Production Facilitate positive communication between HCR, technicians, customers, and trade partners.
Provide support for the technicians, including weekly meetings to identify issues.
Ensure technicians and all trades are starting and completing work in the time frame required to meet scheduled deadlines.
Coordinate with technicians to order replacement parts for anything damaged before or during construction.
Provide quality control and safety evaluations during the project.
Review estimate vs.
actuals at end of jobs with intent of diagnosing and fixing issues.
Provide hands-on technician level support while on job site.
Learning and Growing:
Oversee Technician certification and apprentice programs, verifying that progress is being made and continuing education is being completed.
Plan weekly field education meetings and performance observations and evaluations.
Required to attend and lead weekly training meetings.
Plan and lead trade partner orientation meetings.
Schedule and execute quarterly and annual performance reviews of technicians.
Hiring:
Work with GM to recruit, hire, and train technicians and trade partners as needed.
Scheduling:
Proactively manage project and handyman job forecasts with technicians.
Collaborate daily with the HCR SSR regarding project timelines and technician schedules.
Create and maintain project schedule to include technicians' availability for the duration of a project.
Coordinate deliveries to the job site in a timely manner.
Schedule and supervise the maintenance of fleet vehicles including scheduling oil changes, general maintenance, tire rotations, and cleaning.
Hours and work schedule:
8:
00 to 5:
00 PM - with possible emergency calls for scheduling adjustments that may occur before 8am.
Benefits:
We offer 6 paid holidays after 90 days; 40 hours of paid vacation prorated based on start date.
80 hours of paid vacation after 2 full years of employment and 120 hours of paid vacation after 5 years and paid educational opportunities.
We also offer an IRA with matching of 3% and Profit sharing (which is usually between 75 and 125 extra paid hours per employee at the employee pay rate).
Finally, we have a health care stipend ($1.
