Administrative Assistant/Recording Secretary HOURS:
Part-time; 20-25 Hour workweek during office hours of 8am-4:
30pm M-F.

SALARY RANGE:
$18-$22 / Hour depending on experience DUTIES:
Successful candidate serves as an Administrative Assistant for the County Auditor's Office, reporting directly to the County Auditor.
Primary responsibilities include recording and preparing minutes of the Board of Commissioners and County Council and various other meetings as needed, making sure to include summary of discussions, record of motions, votes, and outcomes.
Scan, save, and index related documents.
Implement and maintain document control processes and procedures.
Assemble, distribute or make documents available upon request.
Post or upload documents to various websites or portals.
Assist with transition to document management and/or electronic document signature if implemented.
Potential to utilize contract management software to maintain database of contracts/agreements as approved in public meetings.
Other duties include completing administrative forms and responding to inquiries and requests.
Distribute incoming mail for the office.
Order office supplies and other miscellaneous purchasing.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree in Business Administration, English, or Writing are preferred, or equivalent years of experience in a similar administrative position.
Ability to comprehend and follow County practices, policies, procedures, objectives, and goals, and ability to plan, formulate and implement programs and policies.
Working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to manage computer operations and applications.
Understanding of cyber-security best practices, and responsible conduct on web-based platforms.
Working knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to learn software applications quickly.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, other County personnel, government agencies, various boards and commissions, business representatives, and the public, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities.
Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and in team environment.
Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time and complete assignments effectively amidst frequent distractions and interruptions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality as required.
To perform this position effectively, individual must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
