Sr Manufacturing Project Engineer - New Capital management

Job Description & Skill Requirement 1.
Implement creative solutions and validate effectiveness of changes including documentation and training of those improvements.
2.
Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to address Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost opportunities identified through projects.
3.
Analyze and recommend current and future systems, procedures, training, and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication with shop floor operators, Operations staff, Safety and CPPD with design engineering.
4.
Evaluate supplier capabilities, work on RFQ process, determine prime path and go through the capital introduction process.
5.
Document and develop risk assessment, project plans and set cadence to the capital management and governance process6.
Thorough knowledge of component machining and grinding concepts.
7.
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts (Lean Manufacturing, 6-Sigma, in process validations (IPV's), Poka-Yoke design, System/Tooling Controls, etc.
)8.
Thorough experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
) Hands on knowledge in using Microsoft Project Tool with ability to create, modify and maintain schedules, for projects, programs.
9.
Experience with reading and interpreting engineering prints10.
Previous work experience working with vendors and partners related to equipment selection, installation and commission.
Have good knowledge of capital management.
11.
Experience with designing requirements and managing implementation of capital assets12.
Experience with CQMS certification requirements, NPI, APQP, and PPAP processes (Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams)13.
Able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders at all levels.
14.
Background in DMAIC, Lean Principles15.
Experience with Siemens NX and CNC programming16.
Experience with machine tool connectivity17.
Experience with gear machining and grinding processes.

Experience with machining hardened steel componentsQualification:
1.
Bachelor's degree - Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering 2.
Previous full time work experience of 12
years in Manufacturing Engineering.
Previous Caterpillar experience is a plus.
3.
