Job Description:
Independent Contractor Courier Part Time 1-2 times a week Start and stop location Lafayette, IN Use of personal vehicle AM-125 miles PM-220 miles Saturday-200 miles Hours of Availability:
Monday and Friday 10:
30 am to 2:
00 pm for day shift 4:
30 pm to 10:
30 pm for night shift Saturday 11:
30 am to 5:
00 pm for shift (other week day shifts may also be available) Actual on road times vary Shifts scheduled at least a month in advance Compensation:
$17-$20 per hour plus fuel compensation 1099 contracted non-employee Paid training Job details:
Pick-up of animal diagnostic test samples at regional veterinary clinics for transport and drop off to lab Logging arrival times and sample counts at each stop Set start times with pre-determined daily route Ability to drive 325-475 miles weekdays and 200-220 miles on Saturdays Must be comfortable driving in ALL road and weather conditions including snow and ice Skill and Job Requirements:
MUST LOVE TO DRIVE Minimum 10 years experience as a licensed driver Minimum 5 year work history with no less than one year held at each position Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record Must be 21 years or older Attention to detail Reliable transportation Proof of car insurance Use of a smartphone with GPS absolutely necessary Familiarity of surrounding counties No allergies to animals Responsible and trustworthy Reliable attendance record Clean appearance Committed work ethic Ability to follow directions Positive friendly attitude and demeanor Good sense of direction Punctual with excellent use of time management and efficiency Strong verbal and written communication Basic math computation Ability to remain calm under stress Flexibility with schedule availability Common sense mentality and problem solving skills Able to work independently but comfortable with supervision if necessary Job Type:
