Director of Extrusion Technology

JOB DESCRIPTION Primary Responsibilities Lead the product and process development activities for the Extrusion business which is presently Lafayette, Indiana, Massena, New York and Hannover, Germany Develop and execute development plans in support of growing AEX volume, revenue and EBIDTA. Lead a team of Engineers to assist to do the above responsibilities Participate as a member of VP Technology and Engineering Lead Team Work closely with BUP of Arconic Extrusions (AEX) and sit on the business unit lead team Key Objectives Lead the team that launches into production and commercializes extrusion products for Lafayette, Hannover, and Massena Plants. Develop a realistic portfolio of development projects with a goal of rapid monetization Follow a disciplined approach to product and process development utilizing the Arconic Stage Gate System. Be part of the oversight on Research efforts at ATC that support the AEX business Work with automotive and aerospace application engineering teams to identify new opportunities for hard alloy extruded products and communicate these developments with targeted customers Responsible for intellectual property development and management in the extrusion area. Basic Qualifications BS in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science or Appropriate Engineering Discipline 10 years of product and process metallurgy experience Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications Strong independent leader who is a self-starter focused on business impact. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and also lead across the enterprise to support the technology mission. Knowledge of aluminum metallurgy for both heat treated products in the 2xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx and Al-Li families Strong record of bringing new products to market through the manufacturing process Ability to work both across Arconic organization with Operations, Technology & Engineering and Commercial Engage with customer organizations during development and implementation phases Good communication skills Ability to develop product plans working with Commercial and Operations ABOUT ARCONIC Arconic Corporation (NYSE:

$200K -- $250K
